We collect skills, experiences and lessons throughout our lives, often without knowing where they'll matter next.

Through humor and real-life stories, I help audiences recognize the value of what they already know, see possibilities they may have overlooked, and find the courage to try something even when they can't see exactly where it will lead.

Turns out, very little happens in isolation.

My life has taken me through some pretty different worlds: advocacy, technology, entrepreneurship, finance, agriculture, teaching, writing and speaking.

​

Long before Blue Jacket Dairy, I helped build a fast-growing technology company during the early days of the internet. Years later, when my husband Jim and I built an artisan cheese company on our Ohio farm, I discovered something I hadn't expected.

I wasn't starting from zero.

​

Things I'd learned years earlier in a completely different setting became useful in ways I never could have predicted.

 

I've seen that pattern repeat itself enough times to believe we often underestimate what we're already carrying with us.

 

That's what I bring to the stage: stories that make people laugh, think about their own experiences a little differently, and perhaps leave willing to try something they haven't been quite ready to try.
